Winnie is an excellent family law attorney who began her career at Diggs & Sadler as a law clerk. She discovered her passion for family law after working as a student attorney at the Advanced Family Law Legal Clinic at South Texas College of Law. During her clinic, she represented clients in family law matters such as divorce, child custody, child support, and termination of parental rights.
No stranger to hard work, Winnie excelled in law school and graduated with high honors in the top 10% of her class. She also received the highest grade in six of her legal courses, one of which includes Family Law.
Her strong work ethic and tenacity extends to her work at Diggs & Sadler and her advocacy for her clients.
“I pride myself in always being prepared and possessing a strong work ethic. When I want to achieve something, I put in everything I have to turn it into a reality. I will do the same for your case. I will advocate for you and put in my best efforts to actualize your goals.” - Winnie Cheung
Strong willed but also compassionate, Winnie is an active member of the State Bar of Texas’s Pro Bono College. She served as a volunteer with Texas Law Help and Houston Volunteer Lawyers, where she assisted applicants with family law matters.
Winnie’s compassion for others also extends to her interactions with her clients. She understands that divorce can be a difficult process and strives to make this process as seamless and easy as possible.
“In an ideal world, all marriages would be happy, and they would continue indefinitely, but as we know, not all marriages work out. My job is to assist my client during this difficult transition so the parties can smoothly separate and find their own happiness.” - Winnie Cheung
Prior to joining Diggs & Sadler as an associate, Winnie interned for the Honorable Justice Landau at the Texas First Court of Appeals. She also received her Texas Mediator Certificate in her last year of law school.
Winnie speaks fluent Cantonese and some Mandarin. In her spare time, she enjoys learning new languages and trying new restaurants in Houston.
